Bird-Safe Wind Turbines

One inconvenient truth for the clean energy industry – and a source of seemingly great concern to the fossil fuel lobby – is the indisputable fact that wind turbines kill birds. Researchers say smarter turbines could dramatically cut the toll.

Without enough birds

"Imagine a world where the gentle hum of wind turbines brings not just renewable energy, but also unintended consequences. If wind turbines were to indiscriminately harm enough birds, we'd face a crisis beyond energy production—a collapse in the delicate balance of nature.

Consider this: birds not only soar in our skies but play a crucial role in pest control. By consuming insects like locusts, they prevent devastating crop damage and safeguard our food supply. But what if wind turbines disrupt this natural order? Without enough birds to control insect populations, farmers face unprecedented challenges, leading to potential crop failures and, ultimately, famine.

This isn't just a hypothetical scenario—it's a real risk we must address. As we embrace renewable energy solutions like wind turbines, we must do so responsibly, ensuring they coexist harmoniously with wildlife and agricultural ecosystems. Let's prioritize bird-safe technology to protect both our environment and our food security, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come."

Join Us

"Join our eco-friendly journey, rooted in decades of experimentation and innovation. Since the 1980s, our team has been at the forefront of sustainable living, exploring experimental solar energy devices and showcasing them at science fairs. But our commitment to the environment goes beyond technology.

Our passion for wildlife conservation led us to develop bird and animal breeding programs, nurturing biodiversity right in our backyard. From cultivating native plants to fostering habitats for pollinators, our family's involvement in breeding endeavors has enriched our understanding of ecological balance.

And it doesn't stop there. Inspired by nature's resilience, we ventured into wind turbine inventions, harnessing the power of the wind while safeguarding avian populations. Our journey is a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration, and a deep-rooted connection to the natural world.

Join us as we continue to pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future—one experiment, one invention, and one bird saving program at a time. Together, let's make a difference for our planet and all its inhabitants."

Bird Deaths

Wind turbines are responsible for bird deaths. Three significant studies in the USA put the annual death toll of birds from wind turbines between 100,000 and 450,000. Every year, between 10,000 and 100,000 birds in the UK are killed by wind turbines. However, this number of birds killed is only the start of the problem. Each bird maybe responsible for a nest of chicks. Each nest can hold between one to twelve eggs and those chicks without a parent will likely die as well. Another problem is the killed bird can lay up to four times a year, each year. Those chicks will never be born. So, the real number of kills is much more than the numbers that are counted in the official surveys.

China's Four Pests Campaign and Wind Turbines

Sustainability

During the late 1950s and early 1960s, China embarked on a nationwide campaign known as the "Four Pests Campaign," as part of Chairman Mao Zedong's Great Leap Forward. This campaign aimed to eradicate four pests deemed harmful to agricultural production: rats, flies, mosquitoes, and sparrows.
