Michael Davern

The inventor of Koolfusion, Michael Davern has such an inspiring view of music as a total sensory experience involving the ear and eye.

He has spent years of experimenting with, and developing of cinematic, theatrical and musical lighting, often well in advance of the thinking or equipment required to produce Koolfusion waves. Michael has performed Koolfusion on stage in bands, within animated movies, with fitness classes and his own Koolfusion Discos.

Michael always looks for and incorporates dynamic, innovative, and professional elements in production as well as furthering his interests in research and development. Having diverse roles from project manager to lighting design on Fashion shows, Corporate events, Outdoor carnivals to even 20mtr high Xmas trees and street lighting for Campbelltown and Lanecove councils.

He has worked in venues such as Homebush Superdome, Evans Theatre, to the first Jenolan Thunder (in the Caves), Taronga Zoo and Fort Denison,

with acts like David Campbell, Debra Harry, Boney M, Boyz2Men, Steven Fisher-King, Leo Sayer, George Thoroughgood and Paul Young.

Michael has also worked with the cabaret shows Dateless & Desperate, ABBA, Neil Diamond, British Invasion, Three Tenors, Big Horns, Al Jolson, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys 60's, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Vegas Nights, Shirley Bassey, Grease, Meatloaf, Boyz from OZ, Roy Orbison, Blues Brothers, La Danielle Dance Queen, King of the Cage, Robby Williams, Neil Sadaka, Eagles, and many more.

His company, Koolfusion Koncepts is a production and equipment supply company that provides lighting, sound and management services for professional, formal, informal and experimental functions.

With an eye to the future, Koolfusion Koncepts also has patents pending and copyrights for exciting new technologies and entertainment concepts.

Michael is quoted as saying,

" One day, music will be expected in terms of colour and sound, in musical waves that will be as different as black and white to colour television"

(1978).

Michel performs live Koolfusion Disco Nights at Cabravale Diggers, Ambrose Lounge every Saturday night 8.30pm till 2.00am. It is free entry with good parking on site.
